Following a major acquisition, and to support the launch of its new brand, FIS needed a series of short films to bring to life their role and ambition as an aspirational FinTech business that powers the world’s economy. As a large, complex organisation with a diverse set of services across three distinct business units - payments, banking and finance - the films needed to provide an overview as well as clearly communicate each area of expertise to overcome any potential confusion and to make future conversations easier for both internal and external audiences.
The challenge from the client team was to create a unified set of films - an overview and a short film about each of their three business areas - with a distinct look and feel that avoided the usual global tech company cliches whilst allowing us to tell an interlinked story of global connections. To solve this, we came up with the idea of creating a series of physical sets in a large studio space that we could move between using fluid camera movement. This approach brings to life the idea of connections as well as FIS’ diverse client base and services in a unique way.
We created four films from a single studio shoot – an overview film and a film about each of FIS’ three main business areas – to make the most of the client team’s budget. The individual business films are being used as the lead content on the FIS global website.
We created a series of short edits for use across FIS’ social media channels.
We designed and built a series of physical sets at Ealing Studios – from pizza parlours and high end retail to living rooms and full scale house fronts – and produced bespoke shop branding to bring to life FIS’ global presence and impact in a unique and visually interesting way.
We created bespoke screen graphics to bring to life the worlds of banking, finance and payments and a central graphic line device to show how FIS makes the vital connection between the different areas of business.
