Still Here

ViiV Healthcare

Making people pay attention again

Main film

Reigniting the conversation

Despite extraordinary progress in treatment and prevention, HIV has faded from public consciousness. ViiV approached us to create a social-first awareness campaign that would challenge complacency and bring HIV back into the cultural conversation.

Big thank you to the Gorilla Gorilla team for all your patience and creativity throughout the process. We’ll keep you posted on the reception to the video!

Humor, discomfort, and urgency

We personified HIV as an attention-seeking character frustrated that nobody talks about it anymore. Using dark comedy, documentary-style framing, and escalating failed attempts to go viral, the film balanced humor with genuine urgency, never mocking people living with HIV, only the disease itself.

To make the character feel universal, we used AI-generated avatars representing all walks of life simultaneously. HIV became everybody and nobody at once – shifting identities, ages, races, and genders throughout the film.

The result was a visually distinctive, socially-native campaign designed to provoke conversation, increase shareability, and modernize how HIV awareness is communicated online.

Currently, Still Here is ViiV’s most-viewed film released in 2026.
