Anglo American has long been at the forefront of innovation in the mining industry. Recognising the critical need for safer and more sustainable tailings management, they embarked on an ambitious journey to develop and test a revolutionary Hydraulic Dewatered Stack (HDS) at their El Soldado site in Chile. This project represents a significant engineering milestone and a crucial step forward in mitigating the risks of traditional tailings storage facilities.
