Working with deaf colleagues to inform and inspire
To help promote Sainsbury’s Non-Visible Disability Awareness Week we were asked to create a series of short videos that would provide in-store colleagues with practical tips on how to communicate with deaf customers.
To inspire our thinking, we ran a workshop with deaf Sainsbury’s colleagues in order to better understand their challenges. This lead us to cast one of the participants as our presenter, helping us to create a series of videos that are authentic, informative and genuinely emotive.
More broadly, the videos needed to lend themselves for use on Sainsbury’s social channels to inspire and educate customers. We created a series of short, informative edits highlighting some useful signing tips.
