The Brief


HSBC needed a stand-out film with an approachable feel to support the launch of its new Mentoring platform that would help to drive an emotional connection to the subject matter. The overall aim was to explain the value of mentorship for both mentee and mentor, and to detail how mentorship can be of particular use at a time of career transition when one needs a little help and a guiding hand. The film also needed to appeal to external audiences to highlight HSBC’s ongoing support for its employees.

Our Thinking


We developed an eye-catching, cut-out animation style with a real sense of fun. This allowed us to drive an emotional connection by exciting employees about the possibilities of mentoring whilst giving the visual flexibility to bring the world of possibilities to life.

Social shorts

The animation style also allowed us to create a series of social-friendly, caption-driven short edits for a related campaign across HSBC’s global social media channels.
