HSBC wanted to create a series of short, employee-lead films to bring to life the ways that careers can benefit from ongoing professional development and how employees have been supported by the business in a variety of different ways. The look and feel of the films needed to mirror the the employer brand (with interviews filmed against white) whilst finding an intriguing visual way of bringing the different stories to life that would lend them to a social campaign.
We augmented the interviews with unguarded moments of portraiture and small sections of animation to bring each story / experience to life. This approach allowed us to carve out a new visual space that remained sensitive to the employer brand.
Our approach to filming and animation made it possible to re-format the films to create a series of social-friendly short edits for use across HSBC’s global channels.
